“It’s never going to happen again, Charlotte. Get over it and move on I have,” said Charlotte’s brother, Harry, arms wide, speaking from her body after she had asked for what felt like the millionth time if the Great Shift would ever happen again. She still couldn’t accept what the scientists had said that it was a one off event, and there was no way to reverse it.
“I hate being a guy and what makes it worse is that the guy is my brother!” said Charlotte, sulking on the sofa.
“You think I like that I got swapped into your body? I’m a woman but I’m my sister. We’re stuck like this. I see this as my body now that’s how I’m able to move on and be so clam” said Harry, looking at his sulking body, trying to get through to her.
“Well, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to accept that I’m stuck in my own brother’s body forever. I’m sorry!” Charlotte stood up and ran upstairs, leaving Harry alone.
He felt a little bad for his sister, but if he was being honest, he was finding life in her body easier. He liked wearing high heels and dressing up in different outfits. When he was a guy, he wore pretty much the same clothes every day. He found makeup fun as well but of course, he would never say that to her. She might think he was weird.
Not wanting to hang around if his sister didn’t want to talk, he picked up his handbag and left. He just hoped that one day Charlotte would be able to live a normal life.
